It's time to Organize for Easter!
Easter is coming and it's time to get organized for this very special day. Just scroll to any of the categories below to organize for Easter Sunday.
In Easter celebrations, I like to make sure that the "real story" is told, in amongst the excitement about the visit of the Easter Bunny and Easter eggs.
It's important to me that the kids understand the meaning of Christian holidays.
On Easter Sunday, Christians celebrate the resurrection of Jesus Christ. It is typically the most well-attended Sunday service of the year for Christian churches.
If you and your family are planning to attend a church service on Easter Sunday, it is not too early to check the church you attend or another church schedule for service/mass times. Many churches change their typical Sunday schedules to accomodate an increased number of attenders as many folks have friends and family visiting on this special day.
Be sure to think about the ages of your children and relatives and whether or not an early or later service would be best for all. Plan to arrive earlier than normal too as some churches get very crowded and run out of seating room.
If you are planning on hosting an Easter Sunday Brunch for family and friends, start making your list early. Begin by making a guest list and asking yourself the following questions...
Then plan your menu...
Now make your shopping lists, one for groceries and another for non-food items.
Purchase plastic easter eggs
Decide what to fill eggs with...
Will the hunt be inside or outside?
Who will hide the eggs?
Will you hide the eggs before or after guests arrive?
Other Easter Activities for children...
What will you fill Easter Baskets with?
What will you and your children wear on Easter Sunday?
Will you dress up or go more casual?

Make a house cleaning schedule so you aren't trying to do it all at the last minute.
Start with the rooms that will be used most on Easter Sunday...
Then they will just need a "tune-up" a day or two before.
Schedule each of these rooms on your calendar allowing a day or two to clean each. Focus on cleaning only that room during it's scheduled day. I started doing this and if you stick with it, it's quite effective. The trick, however, is keeping the rooms you've cleaned, maintained while taking care of the rest!
I wish you a joyous Easter this year and hope that by getting organized ahead of time you are able to really enjoy the day with your family and friends.
